Did not take breakfast, already knew location. Reception staff helpful but often outnumbered by guests.

We had breakfast and dinner (half board) which can really be recommended. Everything is well proportioned and there is a lot to choose from. I especially want to highlight the Dinner. A large refrigerator table with small dishes for starters. There were 3-4 main courses to choose from with fish, meat, chicken. In addition to this, fruit salad and other sweets such as cake etc. were always served for dessert. Gold star also to the staff who really had good service!

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room had a stunning ocean and pool view, was spacious, well-lit, and equipped with all the necessities. The bathroom was also roomy and impeccably clean. However, our only issue was that despite our request, we were given two single beds instead of a double bed due to the hotel being semi-empty during the off-season. This somewhat marred our overall experience.

Excellent value for an extended stay and a superb position both for the views and access to cafes, restaurants, great walks, and shops. Lovely room on 10th floor with sea views and a fair sized balcony. Great room cleaning and regular change of bedding and towels. Nice pool area and seating overlooking the views. Good WiFi.

Nice location for restaurants and cafes, the parking entrance is to rear of the hotel and limited spaces in the evening, rooms and decor are a little outdated and needs some tidying up, I would say it's more of a *** than **** but it was still pleasant and reasonably priced, if I'd have paid anymore than the discounted amount I paid I'd have been very disappointed but I paid €600 for a week in October which seems reasonable for the service and accommodation experience received.

The beds were extra comfy, the room was quite spacious, the balcony had a great view (even though it said the mountain view, we had all - view on mountains, Funchal and ocean). The room service was everyday which was very nice. The location of the hotel is really nice, I love walking so it gives you the opportunity to live near Funchal city center but at the same time far enough to not feel overwhelmed with lots of tourists etc.

View, location and staff of the kitchen area and reception is fantastic. Coffee was good that matters to us. Parking available that is also a must when you rent a a car and your hotel is central. Everything in walking distance.

Good location and friendly staff. Good food and good value. Stayed half board and we were surprised to get free beer or wine included in the meal package.

we were on a room only basis so can not comment on the food .Every single member of staff we had contact with were fantastic ,so helpful and happy ! .It seemed to me that everyone wanted to be there which showed in their work and readiness to assist you . We have stayed in this hotel before and will be going back again ,a good hotel made into a great holiday by lovely staff !!
